There have been several angry, often intemperate responses – public and private – to my original post. To which I can only say (repeating a recent reply lower down) that it is absolutely true – no one should kill and torture other human beings, out of malice or revenge. And it is key that such sentiments do not remain empty words and blinkered by the perception of in groups and out groups. We are all one people.
